ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (May 11, 2010) — Summer starts with food, fun and music – all for a great cause.  Opening Friday, June 4, running through Sunday, June 6, Bill Edwards Presents A Taste of Pinellas, benefiting All Children’s Hospital, returns to Vinoy Park with a mix of the area’s top restaurants, national music acts, interactive games, fireworks, and lots of other family-friendly fun.  This year’s music includes America, Huey Lewis and The News, Lonestar, Martina McBride, plus School Gyrls, Drew Seeley and Mitchel Musso.

Friday, June 4, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. – headliners America and Huey Lewis and The News

Saturday, June 5, noon to 10 p.m. – headliners Lonestar and Martina McBride, plus fireworks

Sunday, June 6, noon to 7 p.m. – “Family Fun Day” headliners School Gyrls, Drew Seeley, Mitchel Musso

*World Champion Disc Connected K-9’s performing daily

Admission is $5.00 Friday and Saturday, kids 12 and under are Free, Sunday is FREE Family Fun Day. Patrons purchase sheets of tickets to sample the various foods and beverages all weekend.

Limited availability VIP tickets are $100 each. Friday night VIP tickets are SOLD OUT.

No dogs or coolers are allowed inside the event.

Tastes and games

Each participating restaurant prepares and sells tastes of their most popular dishes.  Diners purchase sheets of tickets to spend at booths for tastes.  Tickets are also used for kids activities and interactive games.  Free this year?

Entertainment headliners

Bill Edwards Presents A Taste of Pinellas will host a jam-packed lineup of local and national music acts all weekend long. Friday, June 4, headliners include 70s folk-rock group America, best known for their hits ‘A Horse With No Name,’ and ‘Sister Golden Hair.’ With a total of 19 top-ten singles across the Billboard Hot 100, Huey Lewis and The News will rock the main stage closing the show Friday night with tunes like ‘The Power of Love’ and ‘The Heart of Rock ‘n’ Roll.’

On Saturday, June 5, the stage turns up the country flavor with Texas music group Lonestar who will belt songs like ‘Amazed’ and ‘I’m Already There.’ Country sweetheart Martina McBride takes the stage after to serenade the crowd. Four-time winner of Country Music Association’s “Female Vocalist of the Year,” McBride has sold more than 16 million albums since she debuted with RCA records in 1991. Immediately following McBride’s performance is a fireworks show sure to please crowds of all ages.

On Sunday, June 5, Family Fun Day features a lineup of Nick Cannon’s Ncredible artists who’ll be sure to entertain the kids. Singer/song writer Drew Seeley, Mandy, Jackie and Monica of the girl group School Gyrls and

‘Hannah Montana’ star and emerging musician Mitchel Musso will wow the crowd Sunday afternoon, closing the weekend’s festivities.
