Since reuniting two years ago, lead vocalist Ali Campbell, percussionist/trumpeter/vocalist Astro and Mickey Virtue on keyboards have become a formidable touring outfit, with an 11-piece ensemble, including a three-man horn section. The band showcases enduring hits from their canon of reggae songs, including “Red, Red Wine,” “(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love,” “Kingston Town,” “One In Ten” and “Food For Thought.”
Formed in 1979, UB40 helped define reggae music for a generation, transforming their working class roots into a global clarion call. The pioneering reggae troupe topped the UK singles chart on three occasions, earned multiple Grammy nominations and sold 70 million records worldwide as they took their smooth yet rootsy musical blend to all corners of the globe.
Jo Mersa Marley will be the band’s special guest.
